Namibian David Mbeha received lots of TLC from viewers and their votes over the past few weeks and has been named the winner of the channel's
presenter search.
He beat his fellow Top 3 finalists Mpiwa Bagwasi from Botswana and South Africa's Star Khulu who stepped up to care for him when he needed a surge of TLC after hearing the news.
The announcement of his win was made at the Discovery Network Upfronts in Joziburg on Wednesday night (18 November) amidst news of new series coming up on Discovery Network channels in 2016.
One of the new shows in the line-up is TLC Top 10, the show that David will be hosting. It's a countdown show that revisits the best moments from the channel's shows including Cake Boss, Say Yes to the Dress and Long Island Medium.
It's only a four episode series which suggests that the channel wants to see how it does before committing to more. The themes of the four episodes are: Weddings, Mega Moms, Families and Extreme Passions.
In addition to hosting the show, David has also won himself a holiday to Bali and a two page spread in Cosmo. Whether or not it's going to include bare chested pics of him in his holiday cozzie remains to be seen.
