We got an invite to visit the set of Generations: The Legacy as the show's PR department had a photoshoot. And no, there was no fortune snake when we visited.
When I was on set, I took a selfie with Karabo and Tshidi for my Instagram and immediately my followers wanted me to photograph Tshidi's fortune snake mamlambo but the little creature was nowhere to be found.
The shy me asked for a selfie with Connie and she could see I was afraid to ask for it to begin with. She immediately she put me as ease, saying: "No, I do not take selfies," and we both burst out laughing.
Though I got her joke, Connie still wanted to make sure I knew she was joking and told me indeed she is joking and that she does not mind at all. As she was speaking with Letoya Makhene (Tshidi), Tshidi made way for us and I asked her to join us, which she gladly did.
When we first got on set, it was just the show's photographers who were setting up, then Letoya was first to come to the photoshoot and she worked her magic in front of the camera. I promise models have nothing on her. She is a natural in front of the camera.
Baba Joe Mafela also came in, sat down and watched everyone go up and down. That man has star power. Them journos and bloggers would go to him for interviews and photoshoots and he would make it a point that whoever he talks to chuckles all the way. He's a serious comedian I tell you.
Then there were the Moroka guys, Mazwi and Smanga who came in looking all dapper and so did Gadaffi (Vuyo Dabula).
Top Billing was there but by the time I left, their cameras had not arrived yet. Mina I left just after 13:00 as I was going to fetch a friend at his work place so we could go to the Daredevil run to raise funds and awareness on prostate and testicular cancer. We ran in speedos *hides*. Pics of this on my Instagram on @SelfieRunnerZa.
The guys from celebrity news and gossip website Zalebs were also in attendance. YoTV was also there and I eavesdropped on their interview - they were going on and on with Connie about growth in the industry and ntoni ntoni.
Rapulana Seiphemo (Tau) was not on set as y'all have read in the papers about how he was involved in a car accident that left people dead. It is alledged that Rapulana's car was hijacked by thugs and today the Daily Sun reports the guys had a gun pointed at Rapulana's head.
In the midst of all the tabloid gossip, we wish Rapulana a speedy recovery and pray to God that he restores his health. The last time I did a set visit where Rapulana was amongst the cast, it was on the set of Muvhango some few years back.
Rapulana had everyone in stiches and we all ate from the palm of his hand. He is an awesome fellow. Even with the many interviews I have done with him, he has always been very gracious. Even when I would bump into him at events, Rapulana still remembered my name.
Staying with the Rapulana news, our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones during the accident.
Going back on to the news of the day... Selimathunzi was on set filming inserts for the show. Amon Mokoena and Pearl Modiadie of Metro FM's midday show were broadcasting from the set and those who listen to show sure heard the interviews.
Speaking on the Pearl and Amon's show, Vuyo joked that during the photoshoot, he was afraid to touch Connie's figure because he is afraid of her hubby Shona Ferguson who is a mountain on muscles. He said with Letoya it's ok but with Connie, he is afraid of Shona. Then there was this whole talk of him and his fine body that most guys would like to have.
Can I just say that most people at the gym should forget about gym and a well balanced diet and go straight to liposuction then come back to gym. Or better yet, they can ask Mika Stefano about the secret of it all. Does Mika still do his fitness Fridays posts on Instagram?
Speaking of Instagram, you guys really need to follow me on Instagram hey. I have incentives/motivation for those who would like to defy the odds and work on the body of their dreams. Best thing is you don't even need a gym membership. Just follow me my angels and I hope to inspire you with my fitness activities.
OMG! I got carried away, eish, that's the thing about me hey, when there is a mention of the word fitness, I just never stop commenting hey. Yes, about the Generations: The Legacy set visit...
