As revealed on TVSA last month, a new crowd of outsider characters arrive on isiBaya to cause chaos soon.
We can now confirm that the newcomers are headlined by Menzi Ngubane, who will take on the role of Judas Ngwenya, a ruthless and feared taxi boss from KwaMashu.
Judas is rich and powerful and he's worked hard to achieve what he has. He built his taxi empire from nothing and now he's moving into the valley to set up an alliance with Samson Ndlovu.
A vicious taxi strike is going to push Samson straight into Judas's embrace which is going to have a dramatic impact on the Zungus.
Judas arrives with his glamorous wife Beauty Ngwenya at his side, played by Thuli Thabethe (City Ses'la, iNkaba, The Mayor). She's a Joziburg township girl who has proven to be an astute head in the taxi business and her husband’s investments. She is forthright and knows how to use all her ‘assets’ and most importantly - Judas adores her and she adores him.
They have two children who arrive with them: a violent but respectful son Qaphela (played by Abdul Khoza) and a free-spirited daughter Ntombizama (Linda Mtoba) - the apple of her father’s eye.
According to the show, the key question at the centre of their arrival is: what will this new alliance with Samson mean for the Zungus? We know that they won't put up with people arriving in their territory and threatening their livelihood so their reaction will be the heartbeat of the future.
