How GOT filmed the spectacular Battle of Winterfell

Wow, WOW, WOW.

There's no other way to describe the coolness of this week's Game of Thrones. It was 500% the best episode of the series.

It was such a feelgood episode too - liberating! - seeing good triumph over evil like that. I'm exhausted and frustrated by evil always winning so it was an exhilarating experience to be part of the victory.

And it happened in every instance, from Khaleesi's battle against the slave masters to her demands from the Iron Islands to the stunning Battle of Winterfell a.k.a The Battle of the Bastards.

I've just watched a vid. of how they filmed it and it's a must-see because it's fascinating.

One of the most intriguing things is the filming of the horses because they were superb actors, so intense and in character. They used 80 in total who were coached by a horse mistress called Camilla...

Very freaky seeing Ramsay behind-the-scenes - you can't believe he isn't viscious and vile in real life. Kit Harington looks as if he's about to die. Again. Obviously because of Jon punching Ramsay for 10 hours straight!

I'm feeling such a peaceful, happy sense of closure for Sanza.

I have been saving up the episodes so I can watch it after the season ends. I hear it was epic and as epic as Hardhome, which was directed by the same guy. After Joffrey, I never thought there would be someone as villainous, but Ramsay makes Joffrey look like a school yard bully.

Thanks for sharing this Tashi! the action was amazing - some poetic shots with the horses. The scenes in Mereen were amazing too - must have really blown the budget! Cant wait till Monday!
