On Thursday, 1 September DStv launches a new localised TRACE music channel: TRACE Africa. It's going to replace TRACE Sport Stars and features southern African music videos and documentaries about local musos.
It covers established and emerging artists and the genres it focuses on include kwaito, house, coupé-décalé, afro-pop, rumba and ndombolo.
It's going to be on channel 326 so that it's situated next to TRACE Urban (on channel 325) and will be available on the Premium, Extra, Compact and Family bouquets.
Two extra radio stations are also on the way in September: Channel 7fm launches on 1 September (on the audio bouquet, channel 825) and Radio Islam launches on 15 September (on 826).
Channel 7fm is a Namibian-based, non-denominational Christian community radio station Radio Islam is an Islamic cultural community radio station.
Both will be available on the Premium, Extra, Compact, Family, Access and EasyView bouquets.
