Lehasa Moloi makes his play for power this week when he debuts on e.tv's Gold Diggers.
Lehasa plays Zakes, a drug kingpin who followed in the footsteps of his reformed kingpin father Reverend Moloi (Owen Sejake). Lehasa ended up in jail after being betrayed and he's driven by revenge when we first meet him. He isn't a kingpin anymore but he
isn't reformed.
After serving his time in jail, he decides that it's time for retribution against those who betrayed him so he embarks on a mission to bring them down. BUT things don't go according to plan when he discovers that getting the power he needs isn't as easy as he thought it would be.
Lehasa, who was most recently seen on our screens in his role as Oupa Mabaso on Mzansi Magic's Rockville, is also a model, presenter and writer. He hosted e.tv's 2012 music and gadget show Mgongo and has had roles on Muvhango, Isidingo, Erfsondes, Sokhulu & Partners and Sober Companion.
As a writer, he's bringing Zakes to life in more ways than one. He's part of the Gold Diggers writing team and has written nine episodes so far.
He debuts this Wednesday, 2 November.
