Tau seems redundant now, it seems Zitha will overtake him in the fight against Jack. So nothing for Tau, write him out and also the Morokas. Not another baby storyline that'll be dragged for the whole year just like they did with Amo last year. I can't!

Yeah but how many year long baby storylines does one family need? At least the Dlomos had a range of narratives. And it looks like Nandi is gone too. She reminds me of Karabo in some ways. They should've kept her.

I think Tau and Zitha will be business partners and more than that. Zitha will take Karabo's place. JMEC takeover might be their target and that means trouble for Jack. Tau's dependence to the Morokas will be over by then and he'll be his own man again like before he met Karabo. I think that's the direction these writers are taking.

@ qavile yes he was always headwriter of uzalo even on season 1.he wrote season 1 of skeem saam .he is still one of their storyliners .he has taken a step back from skeem saam since he is so busy with Ferguson Films work .lol he was also at Muvhango during that Lit time of Albert's death and khomotjo drama .he is busy busy .but he cant stand Generations though.

The reason he is so butthurt is because back in the day he used to say that Mfundi is his hero and that he became a writer because of Mr V. But he eventually became bitter when Mfundi never hired him to write for Gen. I've seen people on twitter telling him to join the Gen writing team and he said they must tell Mfundi to call him. Lol the poor baby is just hurt.

It's been a tragic end to the year for the South African TV industry with the deaths of two notable figures over the Christmas weekend.

Generations co-producer Friedrich Stark died on Christmas Day, at the age of 62. He was also the producer of Binnelanders which was struck by a double blow - the show's story writer Elsabé Roux also died over the Christmas weekend.

According to Eyewitness News, Friedrich's family suspect he died of a stroke or heart attack.

This statement from Generations:

"The family, friends and colleagues of Friedrich Stark are deeply saddended by his death on Christmas day at the age 62.

Friedrich was a well known actor in his youth and went on to work at the SABC in the 1970s. When he left the SABC in 1985 he and his wife Elsje Stark started Stark Films, a television programme production company best known for the co-production of the daily drama Generations (with MMSV Productions) for SABC1 since 1994, and the production of Binnelanders, produced for M-Net and kykNET since 2005.

Friedrich was an industry pioneer and active leader in the local television production industry and played a prominent role in the Independent Producers Organisation. He will be remembered for his entrepreneurship, vision and ability to inspire and lead."

RIP Friedrich and Elsabé.

They go rid of Lebohang Mthunzi ( Angela ), who was a decent actress and had the potential to be great, but strangely left behind Thulisile Phongolo, who is one of the most struggling actress on TV. She can't even deliver a convincing laugh, it's even worse when she tries to cry. It seems the reports that she got the role because someone who relates to her is a friend to the executive produce, might be true. She doesn't deserve it. I hate to criticise actors/actresses of my favourite show but I can't tolerate her anymore. I thought she would improve as time goes by since the show returned, but two years later, she remains in the same position. It's bad enough when an extra or a supporting actor out-performs a lead actor. They are just forcing her down our throats.

I've also noticed that the show uses a lot of extras and anyone can go any time despite having been part of a major plot and been a fan-favourite. Mahlatse Letoka ( Xolelwa ) is one example. It made no sense to me that they would remove that character after that compelling human trafficking storyline, that got viewers talking, so suddenly and abruptly. The girl gave a good, if not, a brilliant performance throught the plotline, from start to finish. Now there is a minister with a foreign accent, a Ghanaian one, that is scheming with Smanga to get a tender. Since when does a foreigner occupy public office in the first place? The actress should have at least pretended to be a local. The casting department didn't care about that? Has the show become some sort of a talent search competition programme, whereby people can come and go any time? Tau hardly gets screen time because too many extras are appearing. I wont be surprised if he leaves as well. Eish this is not what I expected after two years. I'm aware that Karen Vundla has been promoted from a director to a producer and I saw someone claiming that these unprescedented changes are due to her calling the shots now. But I am not sure.

She comes across as ghetto and the Mrekza storyline is so unnecessary. Lesedi is killing it but they might decide to write her out anytime it pleases them *sigh*

On the brighter side, that scene where Jack confesses and apologises to Nandi was brilliant. I felt it. And Nandi is a very compassionate woman by preventing Jack from harming Tshidi. Lol, Rose confession came unexpectedly and quicker than lighting. I was sure the truth will take a long time to come out.

Hey Dezi .u can hide ne .let me rant .i agree with @show-time the only reason she is still here is because she is close to the Vundla family .Everytime i look at Makgotso M(onika ,kamo from isidingo )i cant help but think she would have being great for the Namhla role .Lesedi is an amazing actress .she has grown so much in the past year .i hate the fact the show can be great one month , next be a total yawn .that being said i support the show i will continue to support it .

I'm late as hell but I think I finally understand this whole Tip Of The Spear saga and what everyone is standing to gain if their plan goes well. Tau stole diamonds in Angola from Zuko and was left with a lot of dirty money which he wants to invest in a company, all at the same time securing a future for him and creating a legacy for Thapelo. Tau plans to invest this money at JM Eco City. Smanga is being pressured by Jack to find him investors since he helped him become a successful politician, and JM Eco City has had one scandal after another ever since the death of Zola Radebe (who owned it as "Vantage Point"). So Smanga not only wants to bring investors for Jack but to also have a share himself in the company. Mr Singh is struggling to find a tender for his company and hoped for Tip Of The Spear to help his business but couldn't invest because the share price had dropped/ increased (I don't know, I'm dumb... but all I'm saying is it's more difficult for him to invest in Tip Of The Spear now) so he hopes Smanga and Tau convince Mazwi to pull Ezweni out from TOTS and other investors too so he (Mr Singh) can enter. Minister Mdana is "investigating" the Tip Of The Spear not only to scare investors to pull out but to also climb the political ladder. Muzi, Thabo and Mr Gumbi are greedy to "own" JM Eco City by convincing Jack to step down as the CEO of the company or then subdivide and sell it so all 3 of them can become richer. That's just my take on this. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is such a good storyline, maybe people just don't get it because it's too much about 'business' lol. I love it!

I don't Sifiso though... what did he stand to gain? I think he was convinced by Tau to sue Tip Of The Spear to help Minister Mdana to launch a 'fake' investigation... this was when Minister Mdana said she wanted "smoke" from Smanga in order to launch an investigation. I think they are using him and he doesn't know it.

I'm excited to see Mazwi finding out the truth so that a whole new drama can brew. Maybe Tebogo will finally be alienated and blamed by the rest of the family for orchestrating that scheme with Mabaso. I want that old man to leave the show. As for the JMEC/Tau/Smanga/Jack/Mazwi storyline it's really interesting and for me, it's a better plotline than the rest. Tau seems to be the only one among the players in the JMEC issue who stands to gain more and is not at risk, should anything go badly wrong. Smanga would be in trouble with Jack... Mazwi's reputation would be in tatters and he'd be an outcast of the family business... the minister would be in trouble with the government... Tau walks away unscathed.

Yesterday was quite a good episode. Argh Karabo is so bossy and unreasonable and Tau should seriously fight her. Argh I wanted Mfundi to use Fana as one of the lawyers in this storyline, I just want to see him in action. GenerationsTheLegacy should have a lit storyline that utilizes Bafana, we should see a real court like other shows have shown. I don't think I've ever seen that in the previous Generations. But let's give it up for Mfundi, yhoo the man knows how to create jobs hahaha there are sooo many extra's. Everyday there's a new doctor lmao. Yes Show-Time it seems Tau won't get harmed in this plot if things go wrong but it seems everything is going according to plan :)

I'm an embarrassing citizen who doesn't follow politics and what exactly is happening with this country :( But a lot of people see similarities with the Tip Of The Spear storyline (Mr Singh) to the Gupta family and it's link to the ANC and politics. Can someone who understands please explain to me all about the Guptas, who they are, what they stand for and how are they are linked to the ANC/ President Jacob Zuma and if it's possible, explain how that is similar to Mr Singh's storyline. It will be much appreciated :)

I resent Mazwi for colluding with Tau to turn the family against Smanga. But yoh... The Tau/Smanga alliance is ruining this guy sadly. And Tau uses both Moroka boys with ease and nieither one of them suspects that he is actually the enemy coz he just wants to take control of the Moroka Trust... not forgetting the sly Jack Mabaso as well. When Generations' plot revolves around the business, that's when it gets interesting for me. Like when Jack tried to use Anne to get his hands on Ezweni while on the other hand Sibusiso was plotting the same thing after losing Afri Media to Kenneth.

Yes Show-Time, this is very interesting for me. The next teasers say that Tau will form an alliance with Muzi and Thabo.... now THAT will be juicy! Tau really is the culprit who is using everyone for power. I'm extremely glad that Smanga found his shoes after being the black sheep of the family for so long, now he will also have shares at JM Eco City and stop being Jack's lapdog. I was screaming "YEES!!" after each demand he gave Jack concerning the amount of power he wants to have at JM Eco City.

OMG! So I pick up a tv plus mag this morning only to read that Tau and Smanga are about to buy JMEC right out from under Mazwi and Jack. I'm SHOOK. The writers are doing the most, Jack is gonna burn the world to ashes when that happens. As for Mazwi, to say is he having a bad start to his year would be an understatement! LOL Drama central! Me likey!

Mazwi is gonna explode when he finds Sphe slept with his brother yohh. Where dos Gadaffi fit in on the storyline now .Tau is strong again taking on Jack .maybe he is de on the march teasers . I hope Cosmo finds true love with Nelisiwe .

If they could just do me a huge favour by RECASTING Mazwi and Namhla. Better actors would do good for the soap. I just hope the writers are not planning to oust Jack Mabaso from the show considering that Tau and Smanga are looking to takeover JMEC.

guys bt i don't think mazwi&namhla are that bad.. i think sometimes the way someone speaks plays important role towards her/his performance.. i think between these to its just the way they speak just like phiwe she struggled a lot with the talking. bt dts my #opinion

@show-time it would've been a dream casting if S'dumo Mtshali had taken the role when they offered it to him. Mazwi's character has many opportunities to slay scenes but he disappoints all too often. Tonight's episode was really nice and I must say I love the new Tau. I'm not sure why Jack is gonna lose jmec but I'm gonna enjoy watching him fight to get it back. Bring on the drama! Oh and Mrekza and Daniel are honestly double the delight.

Lol for once i am defending MAzwi .i didnt think he was bad last night .i agree with Qavile about the talking of actors .i saw this girl on Uzalo ( sbahle )her talking lets her down and ends up annoying viewers .oh wow i have never enjoyed the boardroom talk this much .Tau os really slaying this scenes .big up to Gen.lol Daniel taking on Mrekza like that was fun to watch .

hahahah! Exciting times ahead! Tonight's episode just gave me a clear picture of what is looming. Drama... drama... and more drama. I am really going to enjoy seeing Mazwi playing a game with this baby thing. Jack fighting tooth and nail for JMEC.

I knew Mazwi would keep quiet and play along with the baby thing a long time ago. The teasers were clear enough. The only thing I'm in the dark about is whether Smanga will spill the beans and end Mazwi's party.
