He's been brought to life by two actors for over 12 years and now it's time for Ndalamo Mukwevho to take his final bow.
Muvhango has confirmed to TVSA that he's been written out of the show and that Lesley Musina's contract hasn't been renewed.
Word from the soapie is that the decision was made by the writers because they haven't been able to create a big, new storyline for him. They don't want him to be pushed to the sidelines without a gripping storyline because it wouldn't do him justice so they've chosen to write him out instead.
This is the second time that Ndalamo's taken a side step into that place that characters go when they disappear.
The last time it happened was under very different, scandalous circumstances when Ndalamo was played by Mutodi Neshehe who left under a cloud of firings, walkouts and a dispute with producer Duma Ndlovu. If you're in the mood to relive the juicy events of the time, you'll find our coverage of it here:
Mutodi Neshehe fired! from Muvhango.
So Ndalamo's come a long way and lived through a lot over many years. He
might turn into Karabo on Generations and make another comeback at some point in the very distant future but right now the plan is that he'll be out of the picture completely.
Which raises the question of how he should leave. What should happen to him? If you were a Muvhango writer, how would you write his exit?
