It's been almost three and a half years since Uzalo first broke onto the scene in February 2015 and a lot has happened with it since then.
It's been extended from three to five days a week and founding cast members like Dawn Thandeka King are everywhere you look.

flashback to Gxhabashe! - and in
June 2015 the show dethroned Generations as the country's No.1 show in a ratings war that continues between them, with Uzalo taking the No. 1 spot in
June 2017.
Out of everything that's happened with the soapie over this time, what is its most notable achievement? TVSA asked Uzalo's Creative Director Mmamitse Thibedi who told us:
Mmamitse: Our biggest accomplishment is that we are the number one show in the country and have managed to accomplish this despite the odds of being in Durban where the industry is largely under-resourced, and still have managed to stay true to the grit, language and texture of KZN.
