Ring of Lies 2 is on the way to Mzansi Magic - without Flo Masebe.
The season premieres on Monday 31 July at 19h00 and Flo is notably missing from the cast line-up.
Mpho Sebeng, Warren Masemola, Bohang Moeko, Baby Cele and the rest of the Season 1 starring cast are returning with various newcomers (Anga Makubalo, Fulu Mugovhani, Mangaliso Ngema, Khanya Mkangisa) BUT Flo won't be on the season.
It's a dramatic state of affairs because Flo played Masindi, mother to the show's lead character Neo so what's going on? Why has she suddenly disappeared??
TVSA asked Mzansi Magic for comment weeks ago but the channel went as silent as a praying nun. We got in touch with Flo and her agent Obey Muchipisi at Trinity Management gave us this statement:
"We worked on the contract and negotiations didn’t go well - so Ms. Florence Masebe asked us to back away from the negotiations."
So there you have it... clarity. Well, almost... we assume that "negotiations" refers to moolah and that "didn't go well" means the show wasn't paying enough.
