Honorio is set free and Chema tells him that there was never anything between Constanza and him. Meanwhile, in Ensenada, Doctor Marina sends for Roberta's file so Jeronimo can clear his name.

After Roberta seduces Ezequiel he barely has time to jump through the window and leave before Agustin enters the bedroom. Elsewhere, Blanca is sentenced and Gonzalo calls Renata to inform her that she can return to Mexico City.

Marina gives Jeronimo Roberta's medical file and he shows it to Renata so she can see that he wasn't lying; the baby Roberta was expecting wasn't his, it was his brother's.

Roberta is horrified by Josefina's revelation and she tells her that she doesn't want to hear anything else. Later, Honorio visits Luciana to thank her for the loans - he hears accidentally that Jeronimo also has accounts in the same bank.

Roberta tells Gonzalo that Counsellor Soto tampered with the pre-nuptial agreement following Fina's orders. Gonzalo is in shock; he can't believe he never noticed what Fina has been doing behind his back.

Josefina calls Regina to tell her that she has her daughter and that she is going to tell her who she is as soon as she receives the money she is demanding.

Fina and Regina meet in a park. Regina confirms that she is Pepa and "Pepa" shows Regina the "R" charm Roberto had given Renata. But she says she needs a DNA test in order to give Fina the money.

Constanza makes the mistake of threatening Josefina by saying that Renata is the daughter that she kidnapped from Regina, and that she and Pepa are the same person.

While everybody is waiting for Constanza to come out of the operating room, the family finds out that Agustin and Renata are engaged, but the family doesn't like the idea.

Jeronimo is forced to tell Father Severino that Alvaro is alive. Later, Lazaro and Karina ask him to be their wedding rings' godfather but Jeronimo cannot hide that he is displeased and becomes evasive.

Roberta has a flashback of when Rafael proposed to her and promised to make her the happiest woman in the world. After this she gets drunk and then makes Fina swear she didn't kill Rafael.

Jeronimo tells Lazaro that Alvaro Nesme is alive and he cannot marry Karina. Finally Lazaro digests what's happening and says that he will only stay away from the girl if Alvaro promises not to see her again.

Drunk, Roberta goes to Gonzalo's office, mad because Matias and Gonzalo left her destitute after the divorce. Gonzalo tells her she looked for it thanks to her attitude and her actions.

When Renata informs Regina that Roberta was born with a heart condition, the latter concludes that Roberta is her daughter. Josefina takes the money to the bank so that Luciana can open an account in her name.

Agustin goes to La Bonita looking for a fight with Jeronimo because he thinks he's the one that spoiled his wine. Jeronimo goes crazy when Agustin tells him Renata is now his woman and will not go back to him.

Jeronimo has to tell Renata that Josefina wrote the letter breaking up with Rafael and that she killed her. Renata regrets the harm her mother has done to many people and they decide to inform the family.

Jeronimo comes to Mexico to tell Renata that Fina is his brother's murderer. She remembers her last conversation with him and Jeronimo feels terrible for having blamed her for killing his brother.

Renata hears Regina and Jeronimo talk, he tells her that the woman he loves is the daughter of his brother's murderess. Renata thinks her children could inherit this tendency.

Jeronimo tells Marina that his heart, his whole being wants to be with Renata. Regina offers to take Roberta home when she's discharged and Renata is welcome to go too. There she can take care of her sister.

The result of the DNA test ordered by Regina shows that Roberta is her daughter. At her house and in Gonzalo and Renata's presence, Regina reveals to Roberta the whole story of her daughter's kidnapping.
