New drama series casting for roles in Cape Town

Here's a special something for Capetonians...

Bomb (producers of Isibaya and Isithembiso) and The Narrators Africa Productions are looking to cast a new drama series that's going to be filmed in Cape Town in November.

It's called Nkululeko and the production is looking for Cape Town based male and female actors between the ages of 19 and 30.

Auditions are happening next week (11 - 15 September).

How to apply to audition

You need to e-mail two pictures of yourself (with no hat or sunglasses) and a short biography to Bomb on this address: bomb.capetown@gmail.com

Their team will be in touch with you regarding the audition location and times.

Hi, i would like to know when is the team responding by email because i haven't received one for the audition details for next week

Hi Buyiswa, their official casting call says that they'll be in touch with the audition location and dates but it may be that they're only contacting people they feel suit one of the roles. Some casting calls work like this so it might be the case with this.

Keep a lookout though because you might not have heard for a number of reasons e.g. they might still be finalising the audition details.

How long does it takes for them to get back to you because I'm afraid the last auditionn date will come before they get back to us.

Hi everyone, we've spoken to Bomb to find out exactly what's going on and this is the situation... they've had over 600 applications so they've extended the auditions to two weeks instead of one.

They haven't contacted everyone they want to see yet and will still be doing this. They're starting the auditions today with 120 people and will be in touch with others once these are done.

They aren't seeing everyone who applied so they aren't contacting people who aren't the right age or who they feel won't suit one of the roles.

They're going location scouting tomorrow so they're auditioning today, scouting tomorrow and picking up with the auditions again after this.

I have also been checking my emails. Thank God the auditions have been extended because I was worried since according to the post; tomorrow would have been the last day for auditions.

I think we should just give up because i don't think they will reply .... i still don't understand how can they see a person if he or she is right for the job by just a picture I think they must just say where the auditions will be talking place because its like they are judging a book by its cover .

Mgudlwa, that's what I was asking myself also. How can they judge a person's acting abilities based on a picture, at least they should have asked us to email a monologue or something. I am also giving up now, I've been checking my emails everyday but nothing...!!

Samuel, me too before I sleep and in the morning I check my emails , I wish to know at least one person who got the reply this week because I just don't have faith anymore .
