FOX Life premieres a new Turkish telenovela tonight (11 October) at 18h25 called Heartbeat and it's literally about a heart that beats - after death.
The story centres round Ruzgar who is deeply in love with Meltem, but just before their wedding day she dies and her heart is donated to save the life of a sick girl.
The series is titled Rüzgarin Kalbi in Turkey and has been dubbed into English for African audiences.

Episode 1
After losing Meltem, the love of his life, in a car accident two years ago Rüzgar had gone to Bosnia-Herzegovina to run away from his memories. He hasn't been in touch with his family in two years.
His mother Vahide and his uncle Kemal, who are the owners of Boran, one of the biggest holding company's in Turkey find Rüzgar after a long search. Kemal goes to Bosnia to bring Rüzgar back. But Rüzgar is still hurting.
And he again runs away from a family dinner that was organized for him. He finds himself in Foça thanks to the cab driver he ran into. Rüzgar doesn't care where he is going.

Episode 2
Zeynep is about to get married to her childhood crush, Kutay. The wedding is in one week and Zeynep finds out that Kutay is cheating on her. Like Rüzgar she too wants to run away.
Zeynep takes her beloved grandfather Mehmet and her aunt Ayla and heads out to Foça. But before she reaches to her grandfather's house, she faints in front of Rüzgar's cottage.
The people in the town get to know Rüzgar through this incident. But Rüzgar keeps his identity secret.

Because of Zeynep’s best friend Hande's wedding, Zeynep and Kutay meet again. Sibel, Basak and Hande make a plan. But they need Rüzgar for this plan to work.
Rüzgar can't say no to this plan when he finds out the truth about Zeynep and so begins a game of hearts between Zeynep and Rüzgar.

Rüzgar is forced to get tough with Kutay when he continues to harass Zeynep and Rüzgar. But Rüzgar has to make a hard decision when he gets criticized by everyone including Zeynep.

Zeynep and Rüzgar's game causes Hande and Tekin to argue. Zeynep feels as if her life is getting out of control. And again Rüzgar will be the one who helps her. But Zeynep and Rüzgar's game will cause big trouble that they never thought of.

Kutay's suicide attempt and its aftermath bothers Zeynep very much. She feels responsible and doesn't want to play the game they started with Rüzgar. With her grandfather's persistence, she decides to tell the truth. This will change the course of her relationship with Rüzgar.
