A new novela Fooled Into Love premieres on EVA (DStv, channel 141) today (10 October) today, replacing The Other Side of the Soul which ended last night.
It premieres at 13h00 and the primetime broadcast airs at 19h00.
Here's a synopsis of what it's about followed by teasers for the first episodes...
The Carmona family has a ranch in which they live a very happy life, but destiny takes them to Mexico City when the government buys their land for ten million Pesos.
They decide to move to Mexico City because they want their children to have better schooling.
Enter the Velasco family, who live in a very exclusive residential compound. They live as wealthy people, when in fact they are on the verge of bankruptcy.
The Carmonas buy a house next to them and arrive from their homeland with their farm animals - who are mostly characters too and a relevant presence in the story.
The animals cause damage to the Velascos' house and the conflict between the two families begins.
As the story develops, the Velasco family scams the Carmona's in a bid to get their hands on their cash and the plan involves seduction.

Rocio overhears Santiago and Isabel plan how to embezzle the Carmona's money and talks them into being their partners. Later, Santiago asks Isabel to seduce Facundo so that he invests in their company.

Facundo agrees to be a business partner, but Alberto arrives and throws himself onto the desk, preventing Facundo from signing the contract. He tells him that Santiago wants to use him for his cash.

Isabel gives mouth to mouth resuscitation to Facundo, Maria feels upset. Elsewhere, Alberto jumps the fence to see Rocio, but the alarm is activated and everybody emerges with guns.
