Discovery's Real Time channel and the Jozi Film Festival have partnered up for a cool film competish called
Real Stories by Real People about Real Lives.
And the search is on for short films that match this description.
The competition (which was titled Don't Stop Wondering in previous years) is calling for 3-5 minute films by storytellers from across Africa which tell unique African stories.
The prizes
The top three films will win the following cash prizes:
Winner: $2,500 (R35,564.13 - exchange rate as at 9 July 2019)
2nd Prize: $1,000 (R14,225.65)
3rd Prize: $750 (R10,669.24)
Also, the Top 20 films, including the three winners, will be broadcast on the Real Time channel. (DStv, channel 155)
Entry Must-Knows
You need to be 18 or older to enter and you must be an African resident.
Submitted films must be in English or include English subtitles.
Films must be filmed in HD and 16:9 landscape, using any device of your choosing.
Films must be delivered in the following high-resolution format: 25fps (or HD (1920x1080)), 2K, Quicktime.
