Survivor South Africa returns to M-Net in 2020 for Season 8 and the search for a new crop of castaways is
on.
The season is titled Immunity Island and applications opened on 8 December at 20h00.
They close at midnight on Monday, 20 January 2020.
If you want to get yourself to the island for a shot at the R1-million prize, this is what you need to know:
Who is the show looking for?
The answer from the show's Executive Producer Handrie Basson of production house Afrokaans:
“If you love watching Survivor, if you have shouted at the TV in frustration and admiration and if you have said ‘I can do this!’ or if you have thought ‘I will never do that!’… then it’s time to get off the couch and onto the island!”
Who can enter
You need to be 18-years or older by 20 January 2020. You also have to be a South African citizen or have permanent residence status and need to make sure that your passport is valid until August 2020.
Filming will take place between March and May 2020 so you'll need to be available for international travel during these dates.
How to enter
Applications are only happening online so you need to submit your entry here:

You'll be asked to fill in the form and then you need to submit a three-minute video that showcases your gameplan and tells the producers why they should choose you.

If your application is successful, you'll be contacted by the producers for an audition and then it's up to you to show them that you can outwit, outplay, outlast.
