Paris Hilton got dirty on a farm in The Simple Life and now You can too.( #ParisWho?!
)
kykNET launches a new reality show this year called Plaasjapie and the production's searching for 20 city slickers who want to move to a farm for a month to see if they have what it takes to survive on a farmstead.
Of course it'll be more of a jawdropper if the contestants have no clue what they're doing, which is why the show wants people who have NO farming experience.
If this is you and you want to enter, this is what you need to know:
The format:
20 contestants live and work on a farm for a month and have to prove they have what it takes to be succcessful farmers.
It's isn't a modern luxury farm. It's rough, tough and you have to survive with the basics. Contestants have to earn their luxuries as in Survivor.
There are regular challenges: physical and mental, some in groups and some individual.
Contestants will be eliminated weekly.
The production:
It's being produced by Infinity Media (Die Boland Moorde, The Book Club) and Ewan Strydom (Expresso, Bravo!) will be hosting.
Filming will be a max of 35 days.
The prize:
According to kykNET, there are big prizes on offer but they haven't been specific about what they are. We presume this
doesn't mean you'll win a goat from the farm.
Who can apply?
You need to be 18 or older.
City and town dwellers who have no farming experience.
You don't have to speak Afrikaans fluently but you should understand it.
