M-Net has announced the premiere of it's first local telenovela later this year, titled Legacy. No-no Gen fans, don't get confused!;)
It's produced and written by Tshedza Pictures' team
Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon and headliners include Michelle Botes (Isidingo, Binnelanders), Kgomotso Christopher (Scandal!, Isidingo), Mary-Anne Barlow (Egoli, The River), Deon Lotz (Die Byl, Trackers) and Anton David Jeftha (Suidooster, Crimes Uncovered).
It tells the story of an investment empire established by Sebastian Price (Lotz) who wants to retire and hand over the reigns. To who?
Sebastian’s bitter ex-wife (played by Botes obvs) and ruthless first-born daughter (Barlow) will do whatever it takes to ensure that Sebastian's second wife, Dineo (Christopher), doesn't push her playboy son (Jeftha) into the position of CEO.
Other notables in the credits are Johnny Barbuzano (Still Breathing), Catharine Cooke (iNumber Number) and Krijay Govender (Bedford Wives) in the director's chairs.
No premiere time has been confirmed yet although the channel says it will launch in September 2020.
