The 2020 edition of Africa's entertainment and comic fan convention Comic Con Africa will be happening virtually this year instead of in-the-flesh.
You know why.
It's happening between Thursday, 24 and Sunday, 27 September and it includes a design competition for artists and aspiring artists.
The brief
To design the official hoodie for the event.
Designs need to be a creative interpretation of fan art incorporating any facet of Comic Con Africa of your choice.
This could be your experience of Comic Con in the past, a different take on the logo, fan art representing TV shows and movies or any element of Comic Con Africa or pop culture that inspires you.
There's one aspect that needs to be included: the words “Comic Con Africa” must appear somewhere on the hoodie.
Comic Con's teaming up with Puma for it so the winning design will be printed as a limited edition Puma hoodie that will be sold at the online event.
The winner will be interviewed on their creative process and will work on a panel with Puma, which will broadcast live on one of the Comic Con’s online platforms.
The winner will also receive their own hoodie and the associated bragging rights.
Competition must-knows
Once all entries are in, a shortlist will be selected.
A representative from Puma South Africa and Comic Con Africa will judge and Comic Cons fans will give their opinion online by giving their favourites a thumbs-up.
Closing date for entries: 28 August.
You'll find the entry form at the bottom of this page on the Comic Con website here:
