Former TV presenter, Twitter survivor and actress Nonhle Thema goes BOOM! this Monday (14 September) when she debuts as Cleopatra Mofokeng on Mzansi Magic's Gomora.
Cleo is Sbonga’s childhood friend who tempts him into one of her dodgy pyramid schemes.
She's a con artist by trade.
This is the description of her character's background from the show:
Cleo is a 30-year-old sexy and hot con artist operating in Gauteng. She grew up in a poor family where her mother was a domestic worker and her father a gardener.
Her family lived in an RDP house that her mother had inherited from her parents, but her siblings were not happy that the house was left to her.
With limited career choices, Cleo decided early on that she will never work hard to live a good life and she is determined to use her beauty to get what she wants especially from men.
Cleo has been moving around in Gauteng going from township to township, tricking people into investing in her pyramid schemes and then taking off with their money.
She’s manipulative, charming and a skilled liar. Cleo is Sbonga’s old childhood friend and uses this to lure him into the scheme.

It's been over two since Nonhle most recent TV role as Evodia in 2018's Season 2 of the drama series Imposter.
Before that she played Kgomotso on soapie Zabalaza, after replacing Season 1's Nolwazi Shange in the role.
How long will she be on Gomora?
Two weeks. But word from Mzansi Magic is that this is subject to change.
