Steve informs Kayla that Dr. Shah ran a retinal scan and discovered deterioration in his eye. John considers telling Marlena that he's been poisoning Steve. Brady gives Victor an update on the Eve situation. Later, when Eve tries to call things off with Brady, he suggests they embark on a real relationship.
Tripp is irritated to come home and find Ciara and Claire at each other's throats again. Fed up, he storms off. Claire and Ciara are guilt-ridden.

On the morning of Andre's funeral, Kate orders a martini for breakfast to honor Andre. Stefan cautions Vivian that Chad is a thorn in their side.Later, a mysterious woman in black shows up at the funeral...
As Hope and Rafe anticipate their wedding, Carrie shows up and warns them they made a terrible mistake arresting Anna and Roman. John shows up at Will's room and is surprised to find Paul there. Will and Paul continue to suspect John is plying Steve with poison that is causing his loss of eyesight.

Carrie tells Rafe she knows about his one-night stand with Sami. The mysterious guest at Andre's funeral turns out to be Hattie Adams. Chaos ensues and Chad and Stefan go after her, leaving Vivian in the arms of the dearly departed.
Roman reveals to Anna that Hattie is behind the letter left for her, and they go to see Hope. Paul wants to ask his father if he's poisoning Steve while Will goes to Hope to talk about John. Later, Will and Paul meet up and decide they need a new plan.

JJ and Gabi share some sweet moments as they celebrate the news that JJ and Lani are having a baby. Meanwhile, Julie wonders aloud to Eli if Gabi may be the one who murdered Andre. Anna finally tells her story of what happened when she was alone with Andre to Hope, Rafe, Roman, Carrie and Hattie.

Eli and Rafe believe they see Gabi on the new security footage. Earlier, Gabi again asks Stefan to re-instate her at Gabi Chic. Vivian's horrified at Stefan's decision. Meanwhile, Abigail's at Andre's grave, believing he's been trying to communicate with her through her dreams to tell her who killed him.
Back at the police station, Gabi reviews the new footage with Eli and Rafe, and she swears it isn't her. Valerie tells Lani how she knows Eli is the father of her child. Meanwhile, JJ goes to Kayla to talk about Lani's pregnancy. JJ also asks her to put in a good word for him at the hospital EMT program.

Hope learns that Rafe and Eli have brought Gabi in for questioning. Hope thinks Gabi needs to be arrested, but Rafe pleads for leniency. JJ questions Lani about her argument with Valerie. Ciara and Claire receive invitations to Hope and Rafe's wedding. Brady and Eve have their first date.

Will and Paul spy on John as he meets Marlena at the hospital. A man gives John another vial of poison. Paul and Will arrive and overhear some unsettling and deadly news. Later, Paul follows the man. Meanwhile, Will overhears John making arrangements to see Steve.
At the hospital, Steve and Kayla learn his blood tests came back normal ? so they still don?t know what?s causing the deterioration in his eye. They run into Marlena, and Steve collapses. Claire questions Tripp about Ciara's secret, wondering if she's planning to cause trouble for her and Theo again.

Will confronts John about poisoning Steve while Paul gets into it with the man. Paul arrives at Will's location and finds Will's wallet (which Will dropped as a clue), and then hears a gunshot. Meanwhile, Steve isn't breathing. Kayla saves him and gets him checked out.
Chad tells Abigail that Gabi's been arrested while Sonny comforts Arianna. Justin will do what he can to get Gabi released. Later, Justin reassures Sonny the divorce papers don't necessarily mean it's over with Will.

Gabi is charged with Andre's murder, then is offered a plea by the D.A. Rafe and Eli arrive to question Stefan. When Hope invites Carrie to her wedding, Carrie almost slips that she knows that Rafe slept with Sami. Rafe returns to tell Hope that things look bad for Gabi.
Marlena questions John on why he was missing when Steve was in crisis. John later goes in to give Steve another dose of poison. Kate shows up at the DiMera Mausoleum and is about to discover what John did to Paul and Will, but is delayed by Lucas.

Stefan tries to persuade Abigail Gabi is guilty. Also, Abigail opens up to Stefan about how Andre helped her through her mental illness. After putting up Gabi's bail, Chad tells Gabi he thinks Stefan is framing her for Andre's murder. Gabi thinks Chad may be on to something.
John's on the verge of adding poison to Steve's IV as he sleeps, but Tripp's arrival pre-empts him. Tripp tells sleeping Steve how much he means to him. Meanwhile, Kate is shocked to discover Billie in the DiMera crypt.

The residents of Salem celebrate Valentine's Day: Steve and Kayla make the best of the situation and try to remain brave in the face of his mysterious illness. They discuss Hope and Rafe's wedding. Later, Hope and Rafe exchange gifts. Jennifer has a Valentine's date with Dr. Shah, who learns of her history with Eric.
Eric discovers that Anna was the root of a huge misunderstanding with Jennifer. He realizes he needs to fix things. Ciara takes Tripp for a motorcycle ride. Eve helps Brady comfort Tate, who's missing his mother. Roman tells Anna he believes in her innocence.

Valentine's Day continues in Salem... Eric makes his pitch for Jennifer. Abigail and Chad go to Doug's place for a Valentine's Day dinner, and run into a besieged Gabi who, after having had a run in with Julie and Melinda Trask, lays into Abigail. She runs off and Eli follows.
Chad and Abigail make a decision not to talk about Andre's murder investigation, and they succeed until Stefan shows up. Chad and Abigail leave and Stefan makes a new friend in Melinda Trask. Meanwhile, Eli finds Gabi and he talks her off the ledge... Later, JJ asks Lani to marry him just as Eli and Gabi arrive.

Chad tells Abigail his theory that Stefan killed Andre and framed Gabi. Later, Chad gets them off the subject, and they continue their romantic evening. They make love, then fall asleep. Gabi and Eli witness Lani accepting JJ's proposal. While JJ and Lani celebrate their engagement, Eli and Gabi go home.
Meanwhile, back at the DiMera mansion, a woman moves through the house and enters Stefan's bedroom... John explains to a minion that he was forced to take out Will, and then Paul got involved and was accidentally killed.

Abigail reveals a new side of herself to Stefan, one that leaves him reeling. At the same time, the jig is up for John and he admits that he was trying to poison Steve, but only to buy time to save him.
At the same time, Billie is caught by Pamela and there's a standoff... Inside the mausoleum, Paul and Will struggle to get free. Tripp and Ciara bond. Later, Tripp receives a surprise visitor.

Claire returns home unexpectedly from her trip to visit Theo, leading Ciara to wonder if they broke up. Tripp arrives to see Kayla and Steve. After Kayla leaves to check on Steve's test results, Steve thanks Tripp for offering himself up to Pamela.
Jennifer shows up at Eric's room to invite him to breakfast and once again apologizes for the misunderstanding that led her to believe Eric was carrying a torch for Nicole. Meanwhile, Eve walks in on Brady and Victor discussing their plan.

Abigail overslept, seems slightly groggy/out of it, but pulls herself together when Chad comes in. Stefan's still mystified about Abigail's strange behavior last night. Chad warns him to back off his wife. Maggie covers for Victor with Eve, but privately chides him for continuing his lying, manipulative behavior.
John apologizes to Paul and Will. Paul admits to his father the ordeal brought him closer to Will. Lucas charges into Billie's hospital room, upset about her putting Will in danger. Kate freaks out too, but Will arrives. John thanks Billie for her help.

Stefan is surprised to learn something about Abigail. Earlier, Chad tells Gabi that Abigail accidentally told Stefan about their suspicion that he's guilty. Hope and Rafe's camping trip goes awry when it rains. They take shelter in the Horton Cabin. Claire finally learns that Rafe cheated on Hope.

John visits Steve and learns from him and Kayla that Steve's blurry vision has continued despite the antidote. Marlena visits Claire, who confides Rafe cheated on Hope with Sami. At the Horton Cabin, Hope explains to Rafe she wanted to surprise him with an intimate wedding ceremony.
Stefan convinces Gabby to hide when Chad comes knocking at his door. Chad is suspicious. Stefan then confronts Chad about his theory that he killed Andre and is framing Gabi. Vivian asks Victor to merge Titan with DiMera.

Vivian is curious when she catches Stefan reading Kimberly Brady's book. Vivian and Kate later have a heated exchange and accuse each other of murder. Meanwhile, Vivian comes face to face with Gabby. Gabi prepares for her preliminary hearing.
Abigail is affected by Gabi's panic at the prospect of going to jail and losing her child again. Later, Chad goes with Kate to clean out Andre's office. Hope and Rafe enjoy a blissful morning before returning to Salem for Gabi's hearing.

Vivian meets Gabby and isn't quite sure what to make of this creation. Upstairs, Stefan continues to read Kimberly's book. However, he catches Gabby with Vivian. He takes Gabby upstairs and promises to help her.
Kate and Chad talk about their belief that Stefan and Vivian are responsible for Andre's death while Gabi confides in Sonny that she might be going to prison... Valerie questions Eli's choices about letting Lani and JJ raise his son while JJ suggests he and Lani get married today.

Valerie confronts Lani over marrying JJ. Later, Eli stands up for Lani and reasserts their agreement to keep their secret, but will Valerie let this go?
