That's it for e's entertainment channels on DStv. All of them have been culled except for e.tv.
eExtra, eMovies, eToonz and eMovies Extra will no longer be available on DStv from 1 April 2022. The same day
that subscriptions increase so viewers will be paying more to lose four channels.
eNCA and the daily Afrikaans News bulletin on kykNet will remain on DStv exclusively - because it's much more psychologically healthy for the nation to suffer through hours and hours of bad news instead of being entertained.
What are DStv viewers getting in return for this loss? The Dreamworks kids channel on 304 and a new movie channel launching later this year apparently, packages unconfirmed.
The KIX action movie channel will be revived for Family and Access viewers from 31 March on Channel 114.
eExtra, eMovies, eToonz and eMovies Extra will still be available on OpenView.
