Sakhile challenges Mzwandile about his relationship with Khanyo, and Sakhile looks forward to coming face-to-face with Zithulele. Thu and Nomusa’s relaunch at Emsamo doesn’t go well. Nomusa is determined to prove herself amidst speculation she‘s only succeeded due to using muthi.

Sakhile and Zithulele are led into the meeting room. During the forgiveness ceremony, Sakhile attacks Zithulele with a shank. When Thu does go to work, he is too busy socialising to help and doesn’t take kindly to being reprimanded by Nomusa.

Episode 1146
The Bhengu’s learn of the stabbing in prison but are unclear on who exactly has been stabbed. Nomusa gives a nonchalant Thu Sheleni an earful about his careless ways regarding the business.
Shria prepares her speech for the book launch and Thando calls her friend Zodwa to spread the news that she will be on television and in the papers for her “book”.

Nomfundo dismisses maNdlovu from Phunyuka’s bedside, and she insists that the family is not responsible for what happened to him. Mzwandile is disowned by Sakhile, and wants to move on with his life – with Khanyo.
Thando is angry to find that she has been cropped out of all the launch pictures, and accuses Shria of wanting to hog the limelight.

Nomusa has an idea for an exclusive Cigar evening at Emsamo, and together with Thu Sheleni, they recruit Lindiwe to help attract big spenders through Clive. Makhosazana returns to Maluju and refuses to leave.

Makhosazana is horrified when she receives a bloody cell phone that she identifies as Menzi’s to her office, much to her disappointment, maZulu doesn’t responded in the way she wants. The Cigar evening kicks off at Emsamo and Nomusa and Thu are proud with the turn out.

Sebenzile thinks a second chance with Phakade is possible. Phakade and maZulu visit Zithulele who is trying to put a brave face on his predicament. They bond over the experience with their son and maZulu spends the night at Phakade’s house.

Shria tries to dissuade her mother from the idea of Menzi, but Nirupa is curious about why he just left. An almost old times moment between maZulu and Phakade when Sebenzile arrives with breakfast for Phakade.

Nirupa stalks Makhosazana’s every move and discovers that she’s been visiting a shallow grave. Nirupa confronts Makhosazana about this, and she is forced to confess that the grave belongs to Menzi who no longer seems to occupy it.

Phakade invites maZulu to lunch at his house. Sebenzile arrives, hoping to make another play for Phakade, and he invites her to join them. Left alone, Sebenzile warns maZulu she will fight for Phakade, and tells her about the love potion in the tea.

Episode 1154
Phakade finally declares his love for maZulu for all to hear, leaving Sebenzile heartbroken. Lindiwe wants to waitress at the Cigar lounge again, leaving Lindo curious as to what she’s up to. Finally, Nirupa and Makhosazana dig up Menzi’s grave and confirm he’s really dead. But now the question is - who reburied him?

Khanyo tries to warn Mzwandile about working at Maluju but he assures her that he’ll be fine. Thu is surprised by the sudden attention that he’s getting at Emsamo. Nirupa mourns the loss of Menzi.

MaZulu and Sibongile surprise Zithulele with a visit in prison. Makhosazana loses it with the IT guy when he can't trace the mysterious emails she is receiving. Poppie is nervous about the girls Nomusa is flaunting before Thu Sheleni.

Makhosazana receives another e-mail telling her that Nirupa has her money. Nirupa refuses to give Makhosazana her money and Makhosazana confronts Nirupa with a gun. Mbali and Sebenzile discuss the ‘compensation’ from Phakade, Mbali thinks she’s mad not to take it.

MaZulu is super-excited about going to the obstetrician with Sibongile but little does she know that the latter is contemplating an abortion. Nirupa decides to payback Makhosazana Menzi’s money so she can remove herself from the situation. Nomusa later asks Lindiwe to spy on Thu Sheleni and the girls for a fee.

Yenzekile arrives, looking for Macingawane to counter the run of bad luck the family has been experiencing. Mandisa poses as a head-hunter and interviews Makhosazana, then spikes her coffee and abducts her.

Thu Sheleni organises for her to see Macingwane to get to the bottom of it. Mandisa takes Makhosazana hostage and reveals her identity as Menzi’s daughter. After hearing Sibongile’s concerns about living with the Bhengu’s, Sizakele points out the stark nature of the choice before Sibongile.

Yenzekile finally learns the truth about what is happening to her father. Mandisa forces Makhosazana to resign from Maluju, but Nkululeko doesn’t buy it and smells a rat. Shria and Thando are shocked to find out that Mira is coming home.

Sibongile makes a decision to leave. Shria is conflicted when Mira reveals she is back to tell Nirupa the truth about her fake pregnancy. We end on Nkululeko who finds Mandisa in Makhosazana's room and finds this strange.

Mandisa spins Nkululeko a tall tale about her relationship with ‘Coco’ aka Makhosazana. Sibongile decides to have the termination and asks Sizakele to go with her. Sibongile is about to go in for her abortion when she gets a phone call from Zithulele and changes her mind.

Zakithi thanks Mzwandile for his discretion while subtly flirting with him. Nomusa expresses to Thu Sheleni how hurt she was at his assertion that she would intentionally hurt her family. When Nirupa returns, she kicks Mira out the house and tells her to never set foot there again.
