kykNET's done an about-turn with the channel's new telenovela Diepe Waters, moving it to 18h30 instead of 18h00, bumping Suidooster to 18h00.
Diepe Waters replaces Getroud met Rugby on Monday 3 October and was originally scheduled to air at 18h00 from Mondays to Thursdays, but the channel's done a sudden time switch.
Why?
This from M-Net's Director for kykNET channels Waldimar Pelser:
“The new timeslot for Suidooster and the launch of Diepe Waters differentiate the offering on the two kykNET channels and extend our strategy to grow both channels’ unique offering. kykNET is committed to give all our viewers the best possible viewing experience.”
Our interpretation: M-Net wants the two channels to be different from each other and regards 18h30 as the better, more primetime slot so they moved Diepe Waters to it seeings as Suidooster has the 18h30 slot on kykNET & Kie.
It's remaining at 18h30 on kykNET & Kie.
