eExtra's new Afrikaans dubbed novela Hart van Goud (Heart of Gold) premieres this Monday 3 April at 20h30, replacing
Verdeelde Liefde which ends tonight so here's a quick precap of the must know details.
It follows the exploits of Nehir who tricks men into falling in love with her, with the help of her accomplice Zerrin, who pretends to be her dear mother.
Nehir was orphaned, had to fend for herself and Zerrin became her Oliver Twist/Fagin-type mentor.
They get the men so interested in Nehir that her suitors propose marriage, at which point Nehir and Zerrin disappear. But first, they steal their credit cards and the wedding gifts. Not a bad gig if you can get it, but it does get old.
Nehir grows weary of the running and hiding and then she meets Nerim on an online chat forum.
They "connect", she likes him, they talk for months, and then Nehir wants to see him. She sends him a photo and wants him to do the same but he doesn't want to be seen because he has a wound on his face.
He sends her a photo of someone else who looks completely different and the rest, well, let's just say it's much more relaxing to watch it unfold on TV than be
in the story yourself.
