Julián Trujillo and Miguel González as Álvaro and Felipe
Heads-up!
Nurses returns to Telemundo this August after it was suddenly yanked in June when the homophobic laws were passed in Ugaynda, which we told you about
here.
At the time Telemundo told us:
We intend to comply with local broadcast regulations in each market where we broadcast and are adjusting the programming as necessary.
Now, two months later, it returns with a rebroadcast from Episode 1 of Season 4 leading into new episodes.
It starts again in August, with a repeat of previously aired episodes, and new episodes begin on Monday 11 September.
It isn't clear how NBCUniversal has adjusted the Telemundo programming. We've asked for clarity on how they solved the problem but they haven't provided any detail on this.
This is their statement in response to our query:
We apologise for the recent schedule disruption and are pleased to confirm that Nurses Season 4 will start from the beginning on Telemundo (channel 118) from 8 August. Catch brand-new episodes in September with more new series premiering in October; stay tuned for details! In the meantime, stream the latest seasons of all your other favourite Telemundo series on Universal+.
Have they edited out the scenes between characters Álvaro and Felipe? The only way to determine the answer is to watch again once it restarts.
We've scrutinised the difference between the old teasers and new ones and have found one change in August, on Friday 18 August, which you'll find by tapping
here, and one change in September, which you'll find
here.
There aren't teasers for the repeat episodes in September so it's impossible to spot any differences from 1 to 10 September.
You'll have to put your detective goggles on while watching to investigate if they've edited out the LGBTQ+ storyline.
