Follows the adventures of chef and food stylist Anna Carolina Alberts, better known as Caro, as she is set loose in the kitchens of everyday South Africans, catering for their special events.
All over the world, in family kitchens, kitchenettes, campsites alike and holiday homes – there is one thing that we all have in common at some point in the day/week.
The big question: "What shall I make to feed my family?"
The main focus of the show is families coming together and enjoying a meal together which Caro has created from the ingredients she has found in the pantry/fridges, freezers or a cooler box be it at a family home, camping, or out fishing for the day, at a holiday farm etc.
Caro aims to make the answer to that question just a little simpler.
In each episode she answers a call for help in a different kitchen – traveling all over South Africa to spark creativity.
Caro knocks on your door with her toolbox and years of experience and finds creative solutions for your specific need.
The word "Koskaskenades" means "pantry-shenanigans" and that is exactly what Koskaskenades is, as Caro cooks from the existing pantry (and fridge/freezer) with just a couple of little extra titbits in her "trommel".
But the creative problem solving doesn't stop in the kitchen as every episode has a DIY segment where Caro demonstrates an upcycling DIY relating to the week's theme.
And the table is also set as with Caro around – every moment is a moment to cherish and celebrate.
The heart of Koskaskenades is to empower South African families and individuals (and the world) to realise they have the means to eat delicious food and make special memories right there in their homes – you don't need much, just a little creativity and some Koskaskenades inspiration.
In the Season 4 premiere: Robyn King loves to host cultural evenings where her friends come and sing or read a poem.
Robyn calls Caro to see if she would make something special for them.

In the Season 10 premiere, "Guy's Summer Games": The fireworks are flying as four chefs compete in Guy Fieri's Summer Games for a once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree.
First, the chefs are asked to make an all-American meal featuring varied items from the store's star-spangled sample tables.
Next, the chefs "roll" their way to Guy's arcade where they pick a protein for their seafood spectacular.
Finally, the last two chefs tee off for must-have ingredients for a summer family-favourite dish.
In the second episode of the weekday double bill, "Rising Stars": Four up-and-coming chefs duke it out on this rising star showdown for a chance to win up to $20,000.
First, the chefs must make their breakout dish with limited ingredients.
Next, the chefs must take a list of iconic breakfast items and transform it into a delicious dinner.
Finally, the two remaining chefs are asked to make an on-trend dinner using a featured ingredient they select while blindfolded.
