Mimi Mahlasela of 7de Laan, which won the viewers' vote award for Most Popular Show
despite the fact that it's been off-air for eight months.
The 7th Royalty Soapie Awards aired on SABC1 last night (31 August), a week after the ceremony which was held at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria the Saturday before.
It was hosted by comedian Mpho Popps and actress and TV presenter Nomalanga Shozi, who's come a long way since
winning the role of her namesake Nomalanga on Rhythm City in 2016.
The red carpet was hosted by Khumbul'ekhaya co-presenter Samora Mangesi and the awards weren't dominated by The River yet again thankfully.
e.tv's House of Zwide won the most with five, alongside Mzansi Magic's cancelled DiepCity which tallied five, as if people actually remember it - do you?
Biggest Snub went to Scandal! that came away with zilch. It received a whopping 17 nominations, equalling Skeem Saam, but it didn't win anything while Skeem Saam won three.
As we've mentioned, only shows that entered were considered for the awards, except for Uzalo which received an award for having the highest TV ratings, which it won last year too.
