Father Brown 7

A charismatic, crime-busting priest gets on his bike to solve crimes in an idyllic Cotswolds village.

Father Brown returns to solve more mysteries in the sleepy Cotswold village of Kembleford in the 1950s – a countryside dotted with small villages, rural parish churches and large country houses.

This season Mrs McCarthy, Inspector Mallory and Bunty Windermere are all on hand to help Father Brown solve a whole new set of mysteries.

When Lady Felicia returns from Northern Rhodesia in need of help, Father Brown is forced to conclude that none other than Hercule Flambeau may be her greatest ally.

Meanwhile a familiar face returns to Kembleford when a notorious police killer is spotted near the village, putting Sergeant Goodfellow in grave danger.

In the Season 7 premiere, "The Great Train Robbery": Faced with the prospect of travelling in second class, Lady Felicia is delighted to run into opera legend Dame Bianca Norman, who invites her and Mrs McCarthy away from the riff-raff into her private pullman carriage.

Also on board is Bianca's fifth husband Piers Huntington and adopted children Barbara and Tony who do not seem entirely happy with their life of luxury.

After midnight the train stops and the carriage is plunged into darkness, allowing local farmers Lenny and Daryl Cudlip to seize Bianca's jewels.

In the scuffle Bianca is killed and the panicking brothers take Lady Felicia and Mrs McCarthy hostage.

Roused from their beds Father Brown and Bunty visit the scene where Inspector Mallory promises to do all he can to find Lady Felicia and Mrs McCarthy.

Meanwhile the ladies manage to break free at the farm, encountering younger brother Tim Cudlip before an angry Lenny and Daryl return.

With no clues as to where his friends are and killers on the loose, can Father Brown find them before it's too late?
