Narrated by award-winning actor Don Cheadle, this documentary explores the dramatic tale of Owens' athletic dedication, perseverance and triumph over Hitler's Aryan supremacy agenda.

Set during the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, and just three years before the start of WWII, African-American track and field athlete Jesse Owens took the world stage and launched into international fame by making Olympic history after winning four gold medals in the 100-metre dash, long jump, 200-metre dash and 4×100-metre dash.

This feat made him arguably one of the greatest and most impactful athletes of all time.

This documentary explores the dramatic tale of Owens' athletic dedication, perseverance and triumph over Hitler's Aryan supremacy agenda and his resilience against racism both abroad and at home in the US.

The documentary will also feature archival Olympic footage and interviews from Owens, animation and first-hand interviews from family members, journalists, historians and reputable athletes including 9x Olympic Gold Medalist Carl Lewis, and Owen's daughters Marlene and Beverly Owens, among others.

Evil Kin

Channel: Real Time (DStv 155)
TX Time: 21h40
Genre: True Crime, Documentary Series

Evil Kin

From fiery red hair to long, lean legs, it's amazing to witness unique traits handed down the family line.

But when a relative exhibits characteristics of a more malevolent manner, it raises an age-old debate with an unsettling twist: could nature have produced an evil mutation or has nurture created a monster?

Evil Kin examines families unraveled by the cruel conduct of a black sheep.

Murder. Abuse. Cult activity. Mind games. Identity theft. Even incest.

Every town has "that family" that incites fear as much as it fuels morbid curiosity.

Whether it's siblings from hell, the spawn of Satan, or an entire household of horrors, it's not hard to dig up the root of all evil in these six episodes of family trees nearly cut down by one of their own.

Each episode tells the story of one family and is interlaced with expert commentary from local authorities and true-crime experts as well as first-person accounts from actual family members and family friends.

In the series premiere, "Thicker than Blood": Kenneth and Kari Allen were loving siblings from an all-American family, but a turbulent childhood tore them apart and sent them to two different worlds.

Reuniting in December of 2004, the siblings begin a rampage of murder, mutilation... and incest.
