Kelders van Geheime crystal ball: new characters and a dirty doctor crush

Four new characters debut on Kelders van Geheime in November: two grown-ups, two youngsters and a baby.

Here's an introduction to them, wrapped in extra details of what to expect from the show's storylines in November:

We were introduced to Clementine Mosimane as Nkhuli Makeba in October, one of Hermien’s best friends, when she dropped in at Soebatskloof for the art exhibition and auction.

In November Nkhuli is back, and this time she might have to save the farm from financial ruin.

After Anton Havenga aka the sly Allistair Steenkamp, took advantage of the farm and its people, Edmund Abrahams needs to deal with a huge headache: how will he market and sell the bottles of wine that were produced on demand by Anton without any financial support by the crooked "businessman"?

Hermien thinks she has the answer when she suggests they knock on esteemed wine maker Nkhuli’s door - but Nkhuli is not a pushover!

Nkhuli is also not coming to Soebatskloof by herself this time around: she is escorted by Clayton van der Berg, played by actor and director Maurice Paige.

Clayton, Nkhuli’s business partner and wine distributor of note, meets Shireen Abrahams by chance when he falls of his bicycle and lands up in her practice.

Clayton falls head over heels for the sexy doctor - even if she makes it clear that she is married.

Flash fact: Maurice is also one of the directors on the show: he shares the director’s chair with Darryl Fuchs, Nina Swart, Marvin-Lee Beukes and Heleni Handt.

Hermien gets the biggest surprise on her birthday in late November with the arrival of her brother Gys Delport, played by Albert Maritz.

He gets the surprise of his life when she does not welcome him with open arms.

Tjoppie can’t understand why Hermien and his uncle are at odds with one another, but this is not where the animosity ends: it seems like Octavia can also not stand the man!

Ella Roux’s marriage to Captain Spook is everything but a happy one, and it is not because Jason came out of the closet recently, nor is it his budding romance with rich kid Marco Marais.

What will Jason’s friends say when they find out what really happens in the Roux household behind closed doors?

At the end of November a few other surprises await the Soebatsklowers. Stil Piet gets a strange call and the shocking news propels him to leave Soebatskloof immediately to sort out some personal issues.

Athandwa (Aphiwe Sithole) and Unathi (Aviwe Ngabom) arrive on Soebatskloof shortly after his departure.

Confusion reigns supreme when they start looking for someone that no one has ever heard of.

During the month of November, the lid on the treasure chest of secrets of the show is also lifted a little more when Allison eventually reveals her truth to Junior - and he encourages her to face her past in the vineyards.

Edmund and Shireen’s lives change overnight when Annette’s baby makes an appearance sooner than expected, and Grace reveals herself to be just the right kind of muti to set CJ on a straighter and narrower path in life.

Does this mean CJ and Marco could become friends again after the events of October?

Hermien and Annette are also not sitting around the same fire, but only time - and the harvest of their sour grapes - will determine whether or not there will be peace come Christmas Day.
