EPISODE 12Goooo Sandy!
Andy and Jenn being for real is too much to cope with and yet they are! - which finishes me up because what does it
mean? The thing that really fries my brain is how Jenn doesn’t seem to realise the extent of Pig she is and I don’t think it’s an act.
She genuinely seems to believe the lie that she is - which suggests she’s not actually a peep but an alien.
It does make sense that she could be considering how she’s alienated everyone around her – all except cruel, condescending, lying, thick-twit Andy of course.
I can’t believe I’ve actually had moments of being on his side previously and feel almost as embarrassed about it as I did through his dismal attempt at leading the task. The most ridiculous thing is how he went on and on about everyone thinking 22 is too young etc and ended up being way too old to behave the way he did.
Andy’s undoing started with Kevin, Kelly and Ivana thankfully whispering about how much they loath Jenn. There was something about their plotting that was very soothing – knowing they feel the same degree of loathing but even more so being right up close. Can you imagine?
In between this Ivana and Jenn had a tussle about who would lead Apex, Jenn refused to admit that Ivana deserved to and eventually Kevin got slips of paper to draw a name - which Kelly won.
Kelly answered the early morning phone-call as per and went to some big Trump building where Donald told Apex they had to choose one of their own to go over to Mosaic. They dumped Jenn immediately, givng her to a pleased Andy who saw her as an accomplice with enough Kelly-hate to want to destroy him.
From there each of the teams went about creating their new Pepsi bottles and marketing campaigns - which Apex did perfectly while Andy led Mosaic into madness, turning into a prison warden stuffing down Pepsi.
As it was happening I actually got suspicious and suspected that maybe Pepsi had paid him to be some kind of crazed fan advertisement but then he went on to dish out the $100 and refused give everyone their supper and the dude’s faces he did it to – I just don’t see anyone being able to act what they were feeling as brilliantly.
Who would even think of doing that - let alone actually carry it through?? The
way he did it too – when he told them they were 100 bucks richer and the tone he used – as if he genuinely believed he was better than them.
The other hectic thing was how quickly and easily Jenn and Sandy agreed to go along with his plan. Sandy mentioned it sucking later but in the moment even she was keen on making it happen which is obviously why she couldn’t cope and lost her words in front of the thronging marketers the way she did. The funniest was how she wasn’t even conscious of how bad she was.
I thought the Pepsi marketing types were way too accepting of rubbish with the way they all managed to keep straight faces through Mosaic’s presentation – espesh with every shot of that crappest of crap “best of both worlds" bottle.
It’s crazy to think that Mosaic could have thought it was acceptable – although the competition part that Sandy organised had some potential when she mentioned winning by finding things in bottle tops.
I immediately thought of those plastic things you get in caps and how it used to be you could get stuff for them. I can’t remember what exactly but you could either win by finding a special something or collect interesting ones – but now all you get are instructions to phone an 082 number for the chance of winning something you won’t.
It sucks how there's no longer anything cool you can just get without having to pay in some way before you do.
I liked that aspect of Sandy’s idea and despite her allowing Andy to abuse everyone I also enjoyed how she showed up the total Nothing Jenn contributes.
After each of team finished their presentations, some big wig called both of them back together, yawnily tried to make Mosaic feel good about theirs and told Apex they’d won the opportunity to race Lamborghini’s.
Can you please explain - Ivana got and smashed a Porche from her father at 16?! What’s she doing on the show and how could she say it as if it was the regular thing that just sort of happened to everyone? I really have issues I need to look into about being 16 and getting a car like that for doing absolutely nothing - it annoys me so much you have noo idea.
While Ivana, Kelly and Kevin raced, Andy and Jenn plotted getting rid of Sandy - after Ivana warned Andy to get rid of Jenn instead. Then Mosaic went to the boardroom where Andy and Jenn turned on Sandy who got stronger and stronger and kicked butt defending herself.
The way they lied about what Sandy did and didn’t do was psychotic, as was Andy choosing to gang up against her because she’s not a lawyer who’s been to expensive schools and got further education.
That was the worst of it for me – looking down on someone like Sandy who’s obviously done everything she’s done by herself is so pathetic and weak I knew he’d be gone moments before it happened ‘cos Trump really had no choice.
The good thing about everything is that I now have a firm new fave to join Kev for the final two in Sandy. The way she’s changed over time from being what seemed to be plastic to being real is excellent. I’m also not crazy about Kelly having a bash at the win - he’s such a Mr Perfect in everything he does he’s like a robot.
How did it happen that it got this far in the competition so quickly? Suddenly it’s the final four and they’re all patting themselves on the back for being so special. Trump and Carolyn are clearly onto Jenn so I just don’t see her ending up being part of it. Just so long as there are no extreme circumstances that make it impossible to fire her.
Luckily I can’t think of any.
