The Rogers family official bioThe Rogers family is from the South and are there to win it. As father, Denny puts it, they never enter anything that they don’t intend to win. Because the rest of the racers clearly aren’t in it to win but merely to enjoy the scenic drives and get Phil’s autograph.
Denny is “in the car business” which is a euphemism for being a used car salesman, much like He Who Must Not Be Named is a way of referring to Voldemort without invoking his evil. He (Denny, not Voldemort) likes to hunt and fish because he is Southern and that is apparently what all Southern people like to do.
Wife, Renee, owns a boutique. She also works as a beauty pageant trainer. I suspect her ‘training sessions’ cost 100 dollars an hour and consist of handing out business cards for her boutique and a free sample of eye shadow.
The daughter, Brittney (yes, that’s two t’s. For some reason Microsoft Word accepts that spelling with red-underlining it, which makes it a terrible collaborator in the pointless spelling of names craze that is sweeping the world) is a former Miss Louisiana. One day she will write a tell-all book detailing how her tyrannical, beauty-obsessed mother raised her on Vaseline and celery sticks from an early age so she could compete in beauty pageants.
Brock is the son and is entering college. No word on whether he will compete in the Miss Louisiana pageant as well.
