Bio
Chantal Stanfield is a South African actress, singer, dancer and puppeteer best known for her role as Cecile Whittaker on the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan.
A Cape Town resident and a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s Drama School, she received her BA in Theatre and Performance (Hons. Equivalent) in 2005.
Her professional dramatic debut came with Mixed Metaphors in 2006, directed by Jaco Bouwer and written by Mike van Graan.
She is better known for her TV roles as Florys in M-Net and kykNET's Geraldina die Tweede and as Cecile in SABC2’s 7de Laan.
She’s also starred in the musical tribute shows Rhythm’s Gonna Get You at the On Broadway Theatre and 80’s All-Stars which toured Menorca, Spain.
She currently plays the role of Dalene Phillips, a ruthless businesswoman, in the SABC1 drama series Montana, since April 2009.
In 2012 she was a main cast member of the Mzansi Magic sitcom S.I.E.S., playing Prudence Plaaitjies (pronounced Pla'zhay) - Nomsa's (Busi Lurayi) ever-astute, ever-annoyingly efficient assistant.
