Bio
Tabatha Coffey is an Australian hairstylist, salon owner and American television personality. Her participation as a contestant on the reality competition Shear Genius in 2007 led to her own television show, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, in 2008.
Over the last 25 years, Coffey has worked with a who's who of the industry in Australia, Great Britain and the United States and has continuously developed, fine-tuned and broadened her skills as an artist, educator and business owner.
Since 1997, Coffey has represented Joico globally as a key member of the Joico Artistic Team.
In addition to regularly traveling around the world to educate Joico stylists and represent the company at hair shows, Coffey also works closely with International Artistic Directors, Damien Carney and Sue Pemberton to create the hairstyles featured in Joico advertising and trend collection imagery.
Coffey works regularly as an editorial stylist for fashion and beauty publications and backstage during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Her work has been featured in several publications including Seventeen, Marie Claire and Mademoiselle.
Coffey also finds the time to lead her staff of hairstylists and colorists at her own salon, Industrie Hair Gurus in Ridgewood, New Jersey, where she is in high demand and has built a large clientele.
Coffey is openly gay, and lives in New Jersey with her partner of ten years.
