Bio
Philip Davis is an English film actor, writer and director who has appeared in many films and television series. He has written and directed various dramas during his career.
Phil has appeared in a long list of productions including Whitechapel, Merlin, Case Histories, Sherlock, Collision, Silent Witness, Doctor Who, Ashes to Ashes, Inspector George Gently, Lark Rise to Candleford and Silk.
He has been nominated for numerous BAFTA and RTS awards, and has won many others, including the Audience Award at the Valenciennes International Festival of Action and Adventure Films for I.D. in 1996; Best Actor at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, for North Square, in 2001; Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards and British Supporting Actor of the Year at the London Critics Circle Film Awards for Vera Drake.
Phil is also known for his directing, including the 1996 film I.D., and for TV: Prime Suspect 5: Errors Of Judgement, Skulduggery, and Real Women and Moving Story.
