Sam Witwer is an American actor and musician best known for his starring role as Davis Bloome - the human camoflouge of Doomsday, a charming paramedic - on the science fiction television series Smallville, from 2008-2009.
He currently stars as Aidan McCollin - a nurse at a hospital in Boston who is also a vampire - in the supernatural drama series Being Human, since 2011.
Sam began his work in the science fiction genre playing the memorable role of Lt. Crashdown on Battlestar Galactica. Not long after, he landed his first lead in a major feature film, starring as Wayne Jessup in Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist.
Sam then appeared as a series regular on Smallville, playing the pivotal role of Davis Bloom/Doomsday.
Fans of Star Wars and the gaming community will also recognise Sam as Darth Vader's vengeful apprentice, StarKiller. Through high-tech digital referencing and motion capture, Sam has become the voice and face of LucasArts' The Force Unleashed.
He has also done extensive voice work for the fan-favourite animated series Clone Wars.
While most fans know Sam for his work in the sci-fi genre, he also appeared in two independent features, starring opposite Talia Shire in The Return of Joe Rich and David Strathairn and Edoardo Ballerini in No God, No Master.
