Sarah Bolger is an Irish actress best known for her child star role as Christy in the 2002 feature film In America, and for her role as Mary Tudor in the television period drama series The Tudors, from 2008-2010.
She can also be seen in Angelo Pizzo's biographical drama My All American, opposite Aaron Eckhart and Robin Tunney. The film is based on Jim Dent's novel Courage Beyond the Game, which chronicles Freddie Steinmark's inspirational story as he helped lead the 1969 University of Texas football team to the national championships.
She had a leading performances early in 2015 in Michael Thelin's independent feature Emelie, which made its debut at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, and in Relativity's thriller The Lazarus Effect, alongside Olivia Wilde, Evan Peters and Mark Duplass.
Bolger first made her memorable and award-winning debut at the age of eleven in Jim Sheridan's In America for Fox Searchlight. Since then, she has top-lined Mark Water's The Spiderwick Chronicles for Paramount, Mary Harron's The Moth Diaries and Max Mayer's As Cool as I Am, opposite James Marsden and Claire Danes.
In television, Bolger can be seen in pivotal roles such as Mary Queen of Scotts in Showtime's The Tudors and as the Sleeping Beauty Aurora in ABC's Once Upon A Time.
In 2015 she had a starring role as Jade, a beautiful young woman whose beguiling demeanour hides a core of ambition and tenacity, in the science fiction martial arts action series Into the Badlands.
