Annie Malan is a South African marketing and promotions entrepreneur and actress best known to television audiences for her role as Louisa Malan in the kykNET television drama series Dit Wat Stom Is, in 2005.
She also has a starring role as Annalien Steyn, Philip's trophy wife who is fragile after years of being dependant on Philip and suffering his emotional and verbal abuse, in the SABC2 drama series Swartwater.
Her experience in filmography includes starring in Fiela se Kind, Saartjie, African Skies, being a presenter for Woordwoeker and Adrenalien, a guest on numerous talk shows, a judge for Ons Soek die Sanger, a radio talk show host on Punt Gesels and more.
Annie received the Wolraad Woltemade award from Old Mutual for most sales nationwide at age 19 and became a director of the business before age 21. In 2003 she established Annie Malan Promotions of which she is still the CEO.
Her philanthropy reaches many organisations namely Abraham Kriel Childrens Home, Patron for The Spar Ladies Challenge, Patron for the Christian Social Council and she is also involved with Desmond Tutu's project to deliver 1-million children's bibles to children in South Africa.
