Melanie Papalia is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Amanda Worth in the science fiction television series Painkiller Jane, in 2007.
She also starred as Pippa Venturi in the mystery drama television series Endgame, in 2011.
A native of Vancouver Canada, Papalia has had recurring roles in numerous locally shot and highly acclaimed series including Aliens In America and The Assistants.
She was a series regular in the popular Painkiller Jane series. Papalia also had a recurring role on Chris Haddock's critically lauded hit series Intelligence, which won several awards including the 2008 Gemini for Best Dramatic Series.
Previous series credits include Smallville, Killer Instinct, Godiva's, Supernatural, Blade and Saved.
Papalia also worked alongside Halle Berry in the feature film Frankie and Alice.
Papalia began her performing career as a dancer at only three years of age. By the time she was twelve, she had already accomplished what can take a lifetime of dedication to achieve as a performer.
She danced with the prestigious BC Ballet and Salt Lake City Ballet companies and toured globally. To realize her lifelong dream of becoming an actor, Papalia got an agent and did one commercial before the demands of her dancing career once again took precedence.
Fate took a hand when a casting director was looking for dancers to appear in a feature film to be shot in Vancouver. From then on, Papalia was well and truly launched into her new career.
Her feature film credits also include Confined, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love and Postal. Among her numerous television features are Goodnight For Justice and Freshman Father.
Papalia continues to make her home in Vancouver.
