Mike Dopud is a Canadian actor, voice artist, stuntman and athlete best known for his roles as Detective Smits in White Noise (2005), Agent Turner in Alone In The Dark (2005), and Michael 'The Assassin' in the Rollerball 2002 film remake.
Dopud starred in the first season of the MTV half-hour drama, Kaya, where he plays a series lead as a no-nonsense business manager of the band Crossing Coldwater’s, of which, his daughter is the lead singer. He also worked on the Fox series Mental.
Dopud has had recurring roles on such TV shows as Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis and Smallville. He also guest starred on Traveler and The L Word as well as the critically acclaimed mini-series Canada Russia 72.
His theatrical credits include Journey to the Center of the Earth, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Snow Buddies and Ace of Hearts. He has also appeared in 300, BloodRayne II: Deliverance, Chaos, White Noise, Alone in the Dark, Rollerball and I Spy.
A former professional football player in Canada, Dopud began his acting career in stunt work. He has been set on fire, hit by a car and thrown through windows, walls, down stairs and off buildings.
As a stunt double, he fought with The Rock in Walking Tall, Jason Statham in Chaos, Vin Diesel in The Chronicles of Riddick and Jessica Alba in Dark Angel.
In 2005, he received a nomination at the Taurus World Stunt Awards for his work in Walking Tall.
