Bio
Marilu Henner is an American actress best known for her role as Elaine O'Connor-Nardo in the television sitcom Taxi, from 1978-1983.
She appeared as a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2008.
She received rave reviews on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago, across the country as Annie in the National Company of Annie Get Your Gun and as Lee, the sexy provocative stranger, in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife.
Henner started her professional acting career starring in the first national touring company of Grease, later appearing with the Broadway company. This was followed by Over Here, Pal Joey, and later in Social Security directed by Mike Nichols.
Henner went on to appear in numerous television shows including Taxi, Evening Shade and eventually became executive producer and host of the The Marilu Show.
Throughout her career Henner has gone on to produce and star in several television movies and feature films including Blood Brothers (with Richard Gere), Between the Lines (with Jeff Goldblum), Hammett (with Frederic Forrest) and LA Story (with Steve Martin).
Henner is mother of two boys, Nicholas and Joseph.
