Jub Jub is a South African hip-hop artist, television presenter and actor best known for his successful albums The Rare Breed, My Shine and Fresh Air.
He was chosen to perform the official 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup anthem, Ke Nako (It's Time).
He started out as a presenter on M-Net's KTV before moving to Jam Alley and Channel O. He has also appeared in several commercials as well as feature films such as Lunar Cop, Drive By, Full Court Press and Hijack Stories.
Jub Jub was the first South African to land a scholarship at the renowned FAME School - La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York Manhattan where he completed his high-school syllabus.
His mother is Jackie Maarohanye, also known as Mama Jackey, Mama Jackie, or Angel of Soweto, who is known for running the Ithuteng Trust School in Soweto.
Jub Jub was one of the celebrity contestants on M-Net's Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina, in 2010.
