Bio
Dichen Lachman is a Nepal-born Australian actress best known for her role as Sierra in the science fiction television series Dollhouse, from 2009-2010.
She also had a starring role as Tani Tumrenjack, a native of the island by blood whose roots in Sainte Marina are more tangled than they might appear, in the action thriller television series Last Resort, from 2012-2013.
Lachman was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and lived there with her extended family until age seven when her parents moved to Adelaide, Australia. In 2000 she studied at Parsons for a summer, as being a painter was one of her dreams. But after travelling and having a gap year, she found acting.
This took her to Sydney and then Melbourne where she received her first big break in 2005 when she was cast in Neighbours, one of Australia's most successful television series. She played Katya Kinski, a part created specifically for her.
Soon after, Lachman was cast in Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. She also played a vampire on the U.S. version of Being Human for one season and has worked on a number of other U.S. shows. She produced a feature film starring many of her Dollhouse alumni.
Her credits include the 20th Century Fox feature Aquamarine and the cable film Aztec Rex. She also appears in an independent film with John Hawks entitled Too Late.
Lachman divides her time between Australia and Los Angeles.
