Bio
Helena Mattsson is a Swedish actress best known for her roles as Miranda Hollander in the 2007 video release Species: The Awakening and as Irina, the European girlfriend of Preston Scavo, in the television dramedy series Desperate Housewives, in 2010.
She also starred as Alexis Blume, the seductive siren living across the way from Brian and Louise Leonard who provides Brian with a welcome distraction from his writing, on the supernatural drama series 666 Park Avenue, from 2012-2013.
Mattsson hails from Stockholm, Sweden. She was discovered in her early teens by one of the biggest modeling agencies in Sweden and began a modeling career.
After graduating from her Performing Arts High School in Stockholm, Mattson travelled to London and New York to study acting. Her big break came at the age of 19 when, having left London, she was cast as the lead in the WB comedy pilot Sweden Ohio for Fox Television.
Mattson appeared in a recurring arc on ABC's hit series Desperate Housewives, as well as in the recurring role of Cassandra on Warner Bros.' Nikita.
Along with being featured as a guest star on many television shows, her feature film credits include Surrogates with Bruce Willis, Iron Man 2 with Robert Downey Jr., as well as Guns, Girls and Gambling and Matthey McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths, starring Colin Farrell and Woody Harrelson.
