Jake McLaughlin is an American actor best known for his starring role as Bo in the second season of the television drama series Crash, in 2009.
He also has a starring role as William Tate, Jr., originally a death row inmate in a national security prison who is weathered and jaded from seven years of imprisonment and the painful loss of his soul mate Nina Adams, in the fantasy drama science fiction television series Believe.
McLaughlin's breakout role came when he was cast by director Paul Haggis to co-star alongside Tommy Lee Jones as Specialist Gordon Bonner in In the Valley of Elah. Haggis would hire him again as series regular Bo Olinville in the Starz TV series Crash.
McLaughlin's film credits include roles in Daniel Espinosa's Safe House, Gavin O'Connor's Warrior and Oliver Stone's Savages.
Prior to his work as an actor, McLaughlin served in the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division, where he spent time in Iraq.
