Freedom Mswane is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Amos Shabangu in the SABC1 miniseries Emjindini, which revolves around a humble miner in a small town who stumbles upon a horde of gold coins.
He also had a variety of roles in the e.tv drama series eKasi: Our Stories - as Solly in the episode entitled "Abducted" (Season 1, Episode 3), in 2009; and as Voli in "Four Room" (Season 2, Episode 5), in 2010.
He also played the role of Fana in the Season 4 episode entitled "Umakoti", in 2012.
In 2016 he had a guest starring role as Kwanele in the e.tv telenovela Ashes to Ashes and the following year he played an undercover cop in the e.tv drama series Harvest, appearing in Season 1, Episode 5 (which aired on 29 May, 2017).
In 2018 he landed his first starring role in the SABC1 miniseries Emjindini, which was part of the channel's "Woza Nazo" miniseries strand. He played the lead role of Amos Shabangu, a humble miner in a small town who stumbles upon a horde of gold coins, prompting the question: what if a man who's never had anything gets a chance to have all he's ever wanted?
