Gcina Mkhize is a South African actress best known for her television roles as Foxy in the SABC1 drama series Gaz'lam and as Rhulani in the e.tv drama series Umlilo.
She is also known for her guest starring role as Khanyi on all eight seasons of the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya, between 2013 and 2021.
Gcina also starred in the e.tv series eKasi: Our Stories, in the episode entitled "Four Room" (Season 2, Episode 5), in 2010.
She returned to eKasi in 2013 with the role of Tiyi in the episode titled "Sangoma!" (Season 4, Episode 20), which aired on Monday 28 January.
She also had a guest role in the fifth season of eKasi, in the Season 5 premiere entitled "The Break In" (Season 5, Episode 1), in July 2013.
In 2013 she had a guest starring role in the second season of the SABC1 drama series Intersexions, the same year that she joined Isibaya.
In 2015 she had a starring role as Cebisile, a staunch traditionalist who misses her rural surroundings who is the first wife in a polygamous marriage, in the e.tv drama series Umlilo.
In 2022 she joined the e.tv soapie Imbewu as Nozi, the sole witness to a hit and run who blackmails the perpetrator Zithulele, played by Raphael Griffiths. She debuted on Friday 29 July 2022.
Gcina has also had roles the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, SABC2's Zero Tolerance, MTV's Shuga (Down South 2), e.tv's Mzansi Love and Generations.
