Jaime Ray Newman is an American actress best known for her television roles as Kristina Cassadine on General Hospital (2001-2003), as Kat Gardener on Eastwick (2009-2010) and as Tess Fontana on Eureka, from 2009-2010.
She also had a starring role as Katrina "Kat" Petrova, Marta's younger sister who runs a yoga studio while supporting her starving artist husband Jay, in the short-lived crime drama television series Red Widow, in 2013.
Newman originally hails from Detroit, Michigan. She studied acting at Boston University School for the Arts and earned her BA at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
On television Newman starred on the ABC series Eastwick, based on The Witches of Eastwick. She has recurred on many shows, including Grimm, NCIS, CSI:NY (as Gary Sinise's wife), Eureka, Drop Dead Diva, Veronica Mars and Nip/Tuck.
Film credits include Catch Me If You Can, Rubberneck, the indie Red Robin, opposite Judd Hirsch, as well as the remake of Tarzan, in 2013.
In 2012 Newman made her Off-Broadway debut at The Atlantic Theater Company in New York City, starring in David Auburn's (Proof) play, The New York Idea.
In Los Angeles she has done several plays at the Geffen Theater, including Some Girls, written and directed by Neil LaBute, and starred opposite David Schwimmer in Turnaround at the Coast Playhouse.
Newman lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Guy Nattiv.
