Bio
Jo Galloway is a South African actress best known for her role as Sarah in the SABC1 drama series Intersexions, from 2010-2011.
Jo trained at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town in ballet, tap, modern and musical theatre. She is a qualified tap and modern dance teacher through the ISTD London.
Jo made her professional debut at 19 in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats as the role of Demeter, for which she received a Vita Award nomination.
In 2004, Jo returned from the UK where she worked as a cabaret singer, to perform in Richard Loring's African Footprint, Buddy Holly, That'll Be the Day, followed by Fusion, Tim Plewman's Fangs, Girl Talk 007 at the Sound Stage and the role of Amber von Tussle in Hairspray, for which she received a Naledi Award nomination in 2008.
She played the role of Estelle Genovese in the 2008 theatre production of The Full Monty, which had runs at the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg and Artscape in Cape Town.
Jo has also worked in television as a presenter and appeared in a movie for Holland - Hope After Hope. She has choreographed and performed in numerous corporate events and functions.
She was also one of the starring cast members of the SABC3 satirical sketch comedy series Sketch U Later, in 2012.
She is the daughter of theatre couple Keith Galloway and Delia Sainsbury, who run The Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town.
She has been married to actor Murray Todd since 23 March, 2008.
